This soulful retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth is filled with love and lightness. Our own Paula M. Kimper created original music and the show features brilliant local performers: Kerry Kazokas, Richard James, Bill Stewart, Beth Wojtusik, Moe McElligott, Sarah Wilson and Mike Haley with aerial art by Fiona Lowry. The New York Times said of the play, “Like all fine poems, songs, and paintings, it’s a love letter to the world…a magical play…among the most moving moments I can remember seeing on a stage…you may find yourself taken to heights of emotion that theater too rarely achieves…” Ms. Ruhl, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, is a 2010 Tony nominee.
The show will be directed and produced by Linda McInerney.
